Our schools are the heart of our rural communities. Yet, in too many cases, they are not helping students reach their full potential. I will fight for pragmatic and sustainable public education policies that engage local communities in ensuring all our children succeed.
We must foster thoughtful growth and leverage federal, state, and local resources to expand affordable housing solutions. By enabling young families and our workforce to establish roots here, our rural traditions can continue to evolve and sustain the next generation.
I believe healthcare is a right. I am committed to identifying strategies that balance consumer needs and costs and end the cycle of significant annual increases in premiums, deductibles, and prescription drug costs.
