About Lauren
Lauren is a dedicated community leader, educator, and advocate who has spent her career working to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to thrive. A proud resident of Norwich, Lauren’s commitment to our community is deeply personal. She has rolled up her sleeves to serve on her local school board and served on the board of The Family Place in Norwich.
Beyond her local volunteer service, Lauren brings professional expertise in tackling complex public challenges. For 12 years, she co-founded and led the Center for Learner Equity as Executive Director, where she became a trusted, national bridge-builder—bringing diverse coalitions together, analyzing complex education policies, and crafting pragmatic, data-driven solutions for students with disabilities in high-poverty urban districts.
Lauren understands that strong communities start with listening, collaboration, and a shared vision for the future. With a PhD from the University of Maryland and decades of proven leadership, she knows how to untangle bureaucracy and deliver results. Now, she is ready to take that same passion, pragmatic problem-solving ability, and local dedication to the State House to stand up for our families, our schools, and our future.
